OKX Teams up with Google Cloud to Host Hackathon for Blockchain Innovation
OKX, the second largest crypto exchange by trading volume and a leading Web3 technology company, has partnered with Google Cloud to host a three-day hackathon in Silicon Valley. The goal of the event was to encourage developers to build decentralized applications using OKT Chain, a layer 1 blockchain built on Cosmos, and to bring awareness to the blockchain community about OKT Chain’s technology and infrastructure.
Over 200 attendees formed 46 teams and submitted 32 projects, highlighting the potential of decentralized, blockchain applications to transform various industries. The top five projects were awarded prizes based on their innovation, utility, and potential to positively change the industry.

The Lite OKX Bridge proposed technical solutions for bridging small payments and aimed to lower the entry threshold for exploring the OKT Chain ecosystem. The bridge also allows users to access all projects on OKT Chain in one click, with support from the SDK.
Hexlink
Hexlink offers a significant benefit by eliminating the need for users to set up a wallet before receiving tokens, thus making OKT Chain more user-friendly and accessible. It eliminates a barrier to entry for potential users who may not be familiar with the process of setting up a wallet. It also provides greater flexibility and convenience for users who can set up their accounts and wallets at a later time, when it is more convenient for them. This approach drives the user adoption of the chain.
OKX Guardian
OKX Guardian proposed a decentralized and trustless solution that ensures the wishes of a deceased individual are executed without relying on a single individual or institution. Petreat is a project that collects donations from supporters and sends them to shelters in need, providing suitable conditions for animals. The project rewards supporters with a unique NFT for doing good deeds.
