In preparation for the event, we have had the privilege of interviewing some of the biggest Korean creators in the Web3 space who will be exhibiting at The Gateway. One of these remarkable creators is Krista Kim, a contemporary artist and the founder of the “Techism” movement.

Since then, Kim has collaborated with renowned brands such as Mercedes Benz EQS and Louis Vuitton, and her work has been featured in auctions at Sotheby’s and Christie’s. Together with Emmy award-winning immersive director Peter Martin, she co-founded [0], an innovation lab and creative studio.
Kim’s art delves into meditative painting in the digital age, using technology to bring harmony and serenity to our ever-evolving digital landscape. Growing up, Kim’s father, a Supreme Grandmaster of Taekwondo, introduced her to Korean culture. The lessons of meditation, ethics, and discipline shaped her childhood and instilled in her a deep appreciation for her heritage. However, during her university years, she temporarily drifted away from this path. It was only after spending time in Japan and Korea, immersing herself in the culture, that she rekindled her connection to her roots.
Kim’s journey of rediscovery led her back to meditation, which became both a personal sanctuary and a creative catalyst. Through art, she found healing and self-expression, developing a unique artistic identity that resonates with audiences around the world.
At The Gateway: Korea, Kim will be showcasing some of her most cherished digital art pieces. One of these is “Continuum,” a large screen activation promoting meditation and healing. It has been showcased in Gateway and Seoul and was recently displayed in Tianjin, China, at Summer Davos for the World Economic Forum. Another piece she will be sharing is “Resonance,” a digital video that guides viewers on an 8-minute journey of self-discovery and inner peace.
